Surrey is the region’s second-largest city and, on current trends, on its way to being the largest. Made up of six distinct town centres, it is really several cities in one, from the emerging high-rise core of Surrey Centre around SFU’s downtown campus, to the shopping hub of Guildford, to the coastal calm of South Surrey near the beaches at White Rock.
The energy here is about building. Surrey adds thousands of new residents a year, and its City Centre has become one of the most active construction zones in the province, with new towers, a growing university presence, and a long-planned SkyTrain extension down Fraser Highway set to reshape access. For buyers priced out elsewhere, it is where a lot of new construction, and new opportunity, now lives.
